I LOVE going to thrift stores to see what kind of Jemz in the rough someone may have thrown away. On this particular day, I found an old Ikea table that someone didn't love anymore, but when I looked at it I saw a table for my yoga/dressing room. All it needed was a little tlc.

I started by taking the shelves out to paint them and fix the missing shelf pegs. I got lucky that we had some extras from other Ikea furniture we had, but you can also buy them at Home Depot in a variety of sizes.

I painted the shelves and top the same color I was painting my ceiling. After I let it dry, I reassembled it then draped a similarly colored scarf over the top. I decorated it with a plant, some small white vases, and some plastic orchids. I used the shelves to put my yoga blocks, straps, and yoga books in. There is plenty of room for other things, but I wanted this piece to be minimal. I also put something on top to prop my cell phone up so that I can play soothing music while I do my yoga. In total I spent $15 on this project. $10 for the piece, $2.50 for the scarf, $2.50 for the vases and flower also at the local thrift store and the paint I already had on hand.
